Newcastle United could be set for a busy summer to fight off interest in one of their top stars. Barcelona could be set to test the resolve of the Premier League side, as they are reportedly interested in Bruno Guimaraes.
The Spanish side has been monitoring the midfielder’s progression this term, and could be tempted to make a move this summer.
Newcastle won’t to sell Bruno Guimaraes
However, despite the interest from the La Liga champions, the Magpies are under no pressure to sell the 25-year-old. It has been reported by The Times that the Toon would be looking for a fee of around at least $100m to be tempted.
But, it looks incredibly unlikely that Barcelona would be able to offer that kind of money, given their financial issues. The Spanish giants may look to offer a package, but it is believed that Newcastle would only be willing to part with one of their stars if a considerable fee is paid upfront.
The Brazilian has been a standout star for Eddie Howe’s Newcastle this term, as he has scored four goals and registered five assists in 32 Premier League outings.
