Chelsea’s on-loan forward Joao Felix will not sign for the Blues on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid this summer.
The 23-year-old has been a rare bright spark in a dreadful season for Chelsea, who eventually finished down in 12th this campaign.
But according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, new manager Mauricio Pochettino has decided the Portuguese will not be extending his stay in London beyond this summer, with confirmation coming today from the president of Felix’s parent club, Atletico Madrid.

And according to Atletico President Enrique Cerezo, “We have been informed that Poch (Pochettino) does not count with Joao Felix for Chelsea. He will return here, we’ll see, we’ve nothing planned”.Â
Felix’s future now looks seems uncertain following a deterioration in his relationship with manager Diego Simeone, who before the time of Felix’s loan to Stamford Bridge, preferred to pick Alvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann, and Angel Correa over the Atleti’s number seven.
