Manchester City and Arsenal have emerged as shock candidates for Leeds United’s teen sensation Wilfried Gnoto.
The 19-year-old’s emergence in the Whites’ first team following his summer transfer from Swiss side FC Zurich has been a rare bright spark in what has been a dismal season overall for Leeds, who finished the campaign second bottom in the table.
Italian international Wilfried Gnoto interest England’s top two
According to the Italian website Calciomercato, Gnoto is attracting the interest of both Manchester City and Arsenal after proving his potential in his debut Premier League campaign, scoring crucial goals against West Ham and bitter rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford, becoming the youngest overseas player to score at the Theatre of Dreams in a Premier League fixture in the process.
And Gnoto’s good form has been rewarded by Italian national team head coach Roberto Mancini, who has already capped the teenager 10 times for The Azzurri.
