Lionel Messi’s father and agent, Jorge Messi, has met with Barcelona president Joan Laporta today to discuss his son’s possible return to the club this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain officially announced Messi’s departure from the club at the weekend via their Social Media platforms and it is now being reported that a plan to take the World Cup winner back to the Nou Camp has now been approved by La Liga officials.

Taking to Twitter, Spanish journalist Toni Juanmarti filmed the pair meeting at the home of the Barca president amid speculation Messi is set for a spectacular return to the Nou Camp following a two-year hiatus in Paris.

Speaking to Juanmarti, Jorge Messi said, “Leo wants to return to Barcelona and I’d love to see him back to Barca. Barca move is an option for sure. We are convinced that Messi can return to Barca”.Â
