Liverpool have completed the signing of Argentinian international attacking midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed the most successful season of his career so far, helping his country on the way to winning the World Cup last winter in Qatar and his club side Brighton to qualifying for European football for the first time in the club’s history.
Alexis Mac Allister set to swap Seagulls for Reds
But Mac Allister sees now as the right time to take his career to the next level and sign for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds who have been dying out for a brand new midfield following the losses of vice-captain James Milner, who is likely to move in the opposite direction to the Seagulls, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and big money flop Naby Keita.
According to reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano, a medical for Mac Allister will be completed within the next couple of days with a full agreement already being reached between the two clubs.

The Argentinian is set to put pen to paper on a five-year deal and Liverpool are prepared to pay the buy-out clause in Mac Allister’s contract at Brighton, worth far less than the $75m figure that was once touted.
