Man United have reportedly renewed their interest in Fiorentina’s Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat.
The midfielder is a long-term target for La Liga champions Barcelona, but United have reportedly stepped up their interest in the 26-year-old, according to reports in Sport.
Man United rival Barcelona in Amrabat transfer race
The Red Devils were keen on making a move for the central midfielder during the January transfer window, but their preferred option of a loan deal was knocked back by the Serie A club.
However, the Italian giants could be forced to sell the World Cup star when the summer window opens in a few weeks time. Amrabat wishes to play Champions League soccer next season, and both Man United and Barcelona can offer that opportunity.
The 26-year-old played 29 times in the league for Fiorentina last season, registering one assist. However, any talks surrounding his future will likely take place after Wednesday’s Europa Conference League showdown with West Ham United.
