PSG snap up Spanish international on free transfer
Asensio joins a list of high-profile players including Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi who have joined the Parisians as a free agent.
It is reported that the Spanish winger will sign on a four-year deal with agent Jorge Mendes taking care of most of the proceedings. The deal is set to be confirmed at the same time as the Parisians also wrap up a move for Manuel Ugarte, who is expected to join Asensio in the French capital today.
Champions League winner Asensio said farewell to the Bernabeu after being brought onto the pitch in the 58th minute in Los Blancos’ 1-1 home draw with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday before being substituted in the 91st minute so that he could get a final standing ovation from the Real Madrid faithful in his last match for the club.
