Former USMNT caretaker manager Anthony Hudson has taken over as the new manager of Qatar Stars League side Al-Markhiya.
The 42-year-old Seattle native left his post as interim head coach of the USMNT last month and was replaced by B.J Callaghan, with an official statement explaining that Hudson had left to seek new opportunities.
Anthony Hudson takes over at Al-Markhiya
According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs, Hudson had been the target of interest from Western Asian countries Oman and Iran to take over as their head coach but the ex-Tottenham Hotspur reserve manager will instead be heading to Doha to take over one of Qatar’s fastest-improving sides.
