World Cup winner and all-time legend Lionel Messi will move to Inter Miami and play in the MLS next season.
The 35-year-old has today agreed to a deal worth $54m a year to sign for the five-year-old Florida-based franchise once his contract with current employers Paris Saint-Germain has expired.

The Argentinian will sign a two-year contract with the Eastern Conference outfit and is likely to be joined by departing Barcelona captain and former teammate Sergio Busquets, who played his last match for the Catalan giants yesterday against Japanese side Vissel Kobe.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Messi will make his announcement via his Social Media platforms in the next few hours, ending rumors he was set to make a return to Barcelona.

Despite Messi’s father and agent Jorge meeting with Barcelona president Joan Laporta earlier this week, a deal could not be agreed leaving the door wide open for David Beckham’s side to swoop in and complete a move.
Messi will reportedly clarify the reasons and details of his decision to join Inter with Jorge Messi planning to travel to Miami in the next few hours.
Unarguably, Messi is set to be the highest-profile footballer to move to the States since Beckham’s transfer to LA Galaxy in 2007, and at just 35, the Argentinian ace still has a couple of more years yet in his locker to show the US why he is often renowned as the best footballer to ever play the game.
