Inter Miami’s spending this summer may not be finished following the massive news that Lionel Messi will be playing in the MLS after his departure from PSG.
The franchise owned by David Beckham is targeting two further global superstars this summer, with Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets among those.
Inter Miami interested in Busquets and Di Maria
Despite sitting bottom of the Eastern Conference, Inter look set for an exciting end to the season following the arrival of Messi. However, their transfer plans continue to make global headlines, and they are targeting two more superstars.
Busquets has been a priority signing this year, according to Fabrizio Romano, and a deal could be close after reaching an agreement with his former Barcelona teammate.
Meanwhile, the MLS club are also interested in adding Messi’s international teammate, and fellow World Cup winner Angel Di Maria. The winger is available on a free transfer after running down his deal at Juventus.
However, a move for Di Maria could be more challenging, as the Argentinean would prefer to remain in Europe, with Benfica among the most likely suitors.
