Man United are reportedly moving close to agreeing on a shock deal for AS Monaco defender Axel Disasi.

The latest reports coming out of France in L’Equipe have claimed that the Red Devils are ‘one-step’ away from completing the deal for the 25-year-old.

The overnight news would come as a slight shock for United fans, as Disasi’s name hasn’t been mentioned among possible incomings.

But, the reports in France claim that the Red Devils have been monitoring the defender throughout the season, and are prepared to meet the asking price set by Monaco.

However, other reports have claimed that a move is slightly further away than news in France, as they have claimed that Disasi is a B-Option in case United’s pursuit of Kim Min-Jae falls short.

Disasi was a standout player for Monaco last season, as the defender scored five goals and recorded four assists across 46 matches in all competitions.
