Manchester United’s pursuit of a new number nine appears to have hit a huge setback, as reports have claimed that it is incredibly unlikely that the Red Devils will be signing Harry Kane this summer.
The England captain was United’s top transfer target in their bid to sign an out-and-out striker this summer, but Spurs have reiterated that they don’t want to sell to a Premier League rival.
Kane move to Man United is off
It was believed that Kane had played his final game for Tottenham on the final day of the 2022-23 season, as reports claimed that the club would listen to offers for their star man.
However, Daniel Levy now appears to have back-tracked on summer plans for his star player, as the all-time leading England scorer looks set to stay in North London until the end of his current deal.
Man United were interested in signing the striker this summer, but recent reports from Sky Sports have claimed that a move to Old Trafford is off the cards. Spurs wish to keep hold of their top scorer from last season, but Real Madrid could yet make an approach for the 29-year-old.
