Manchester United want to complete a deal to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount as soon as possible.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been at the club since he was 6 but is likely to cut ties with the West Londoners this summer after it was confirmed he would not sign a new contract.
Red Devils seek to tie up Chelsea midfielder’s services
As reported last week, United are set to offer a bid of around $50m for Mount who only has 12 months left on his deal at Chelsea. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues and the Red Devils still stand miles apart in their evaluation for Mount, with Chelsea insisting on $86m for the England international.

Personal terms are not believed to be a problem with Mount reportedly preferring a move to Old Trafford, the main reason why there is still confidence at Old Trafford the deal can still be pushed through.
