Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford are close to agreeing a deal for goalkeeper David Raya to move to North London following extensive talks.
The 27-year-old Spaniard is believed to have agreed personal terms over a move and is not expected to extend his current contract at the West London club, which is due to expire next summer.
Spurs seek new number one
Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris is expected to leave the club this summer following a dreadful personal campaign, with his last match for the club coming in the 6-1 humbling defeat at Newcastle United. And Raya is seen as an ideal replacement for the French number one, with his good distribution seen as a key factor why Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy remains so keen on the former Blackburn keeper.
According to Fabrizio Romano, however, Brentford are adamant they must receive the full $50m asking price for Raya, with talks remaining ongoing today.
