Chelsea center forward Romelu Lukaku has been offered a $25m a year deal to move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal this summer.
The 30-year-old spent last season out on loan at Inter Milan where he impressed during the final period of the season and the Belgian is understood to prefer to make his loan deal a permanent one this summer.
Belgian latest player offered multi-million Saudi contract
As stated in the Guardian, Lukaku met with officials from Al Hilal on Monday in Paris following his Inter side’s 1-0 Champions League final defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, in which the Belgian missed a glorious headed opportunity in the dying stages for the Nerazzurri.
And with cash-strapped Inter unlikely to find the funds to afford Lukaku on a full-time basis any time soon, the Saudi club may be the former Man United and Everton striker’s only realistic option of regular first-team football next season with new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino’s stance on the Belgian still unclear.
If Lukaku made the switch, he would be walking in the same footsteps as former Chelsea teammate N’golo Kante, who has already completed his move to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad this summer.
