Inter Miami look set to add further additions to their squad this summer following the arrival of Lionel Messi.
The MLS side is rumored to be interested in adding Messi’s former Barcelona teammate Jordi Alba, but Miami could face competition from a number of European giants.
Inter Miami fighting for Alba signature
Miami remains in the transfer market for a number of significant European stars this year, but Alba ranks higher than most. The 34-year-old is a free agent following the expiration of his deal at Barcelona.
The MLS side was reportedly the front-runner for his signature, but they are facing late competition. Alba has been offered the chance to stay in the European game, with both Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid offering the World Cup winner deals.
Meanwhile, there is also reported interest from Saudi Arabia, according to ESPN. The reports have claimed that a final decision will be made by the player following Spain’s involvement in the upcoming UEFA Nations League this week.
