Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has told reporters he wants to stay at the club amid rumors he will leave the Allianz Arena this summer.
Speaking in an interview with German news outlet Sport1, Goretzka denied rumors of a move to Manchester United saying, “I’ve no other plans than staying at Bayern.”

The 28-year-old had been linked with a move to Old Trafford amid speculation Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel was ready to force the midfielder out the door. After the signing of Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig and the news Thucal was pushing very hard for a move for fellow midfielder Declan Rice, Goretzka’s future looked in doubt.
However, the German stated the only clubs he would like to play for other than Bayern Munich would be his previous two outfits, Schalke 04 and hometown club Bochum.
Responding to fellow professionals ending their careers in Saudi Arabia, Gortezka said, “Personally, I can absolutely rule that out. I would clearly prefer Bochum or Schalke. “
