Manchester United have confirmed they have retained forward Mason Greenwood in their squad list for next season.
The 21-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since being suspended by the club following allegations of rape and coercive behavior.
England international Mason Greenwood to stay at Old Trafford
United chiefs are in the process of conducting their own internal investigation into Greenwood after the Crown Prosecution Service dropped all charges against the England international due to “new material that came to light.”
Greenwood’s last appearance for the club came back in January 2022 during a 1-0 win over West Ham United and his future at the club remains uncertain with manager Erik Ten Hag unsure when or if to integrate the talented forward back into the squad amid a likely media backlash.
The Red Devils also confirmed today that long-standing central defender Phil Jones and academy graduate Axel Tuanzebe have left the club as free agents, whilst out-of-contract David De Gea also looks set to leave the club this summer.
