Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Barcelona to sign French international defender Clement Lenglet.
Lenglet, who will turn 28 tomorrow, spent last season on loan at the Lilywhites in what turned out to be a dismal campaign that included two managerial sackings.
Clement Lenglet wants to make loan move permanent
The North Londoners confirmed yesterday that Lenglet’s loan spell had come to an end but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs are set to meet again to discuss the possibility of Lenglet moving to Spurs on a permanent deal.

Tottenham are in the market to strengthen at the heart of their defense, with Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez both set to leave the club and Lenglet remains a realistic target, with two other left-footed center-backs also being discussed.
Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte is likely to be one of those two names, with the Spanish international seeking regular first-team football next season after dropping down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium below Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, and Manuel Akanji.
