Joao Cancelo will leave the Etihad Stadium this summer after falling out of favor with Pep Guardiola last season.
The 29-year-old spent the second half of last season at Bayern Munich after being shipped out by the City boss following a loss of form before the mid-season winter World Cup, including an error that gifted Mo Salah the winning goal for Liverpool against the Citizens at Anfield and a first half red card against Fulham in the Premier League.
Barcelona linked with talented defender Joao Cancelo
There seems to be no future for Cancelo at City, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who has Tweeted that Etihad Stadium chiefs are looking for the easiest possible situation.

Cancelo is gaining the interest of Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez, who is set to lose fellow left-back Jordi Alba to Inter Miami on a free transfer, but a deal will only be possible on the Catalans’ co-operation with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
