Manchester United haven’t yet formalized their interest in Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding David De Gea’s future at the club.
The latest reports in the Daily Mail have claimed that the Red Devils are yet to approach Everton for a deal involving their goalkeeper. The reports also claim that England’s number one is ‘happy’ at his current club.
Man United yet to make Pickford move
Erik ten Hag remains keen to add a number goalkeeper to his squad, regardless of whether De Gea agrees to an extension. It is believed that the Red Devils are weighing up their options in the goalkeeper position, but it isn’t expected to be a priority position.
United have ear-marked deals for Mason Mount and a new striker as their preferred pieces of business this summer.
Pickford has been at Everton since signing from the Toffees from boyhood club Sunderland. The England stopper signed a new deal at Goodison Park in February, but that hasn’t been enough to cool United’s interest in the shot-stopper.
