Newcastle United could be set to flex their financial muscle this summer, as they are reportedly weighing up a $95 million move for Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni.
Spanish outlet Defensa Central, via Caught Offside, is reporting that the Spanish giants could be willing to offload the Frenchman this summer if their asking price is met.
Newcastle plotting move for Tchouameni
The latest reports have claimed that the Magpies have offered the Spanish giants a fee in the region of $78 million. But, Los Blancos could be prepared to accept the bid after growing frustrated with his progression since joining the former La Liga champions.
Tchouameni has failed to live up to expectations since moving to Real Madrid from AS Monaco last summer. He could also face limited game time this coming season following the addition of Jude Bellingham.
Newcastle remain in the market for a midfielder this summer, and they have already submitted a bid for Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella.
