Kalidou Koulibaly edges closer to Stamford Bridge
The experienced defender only moved to Stamford Bridge last summer for $40m from Italian side Napoli, where he had previously enjoyed a successful eight-year spell. However, Todd Boehly is set to cut his losses on the Senegalese International after less than 12 months.
Despite his poor club form, Koulibaly was back to being close to his best for the national team, captaining Senegal to a shock 4-2 victory over Brazil yesterday in an international friendly played at Sporting Lisbon’s Jose Alvalade Stadium in which Bayern Munich forward Sadio Mane scored twice.
