Manchester United are plotting a last-minute offer to West Ham for Declan Rice which would see either Harry Maguire or Scott McTominay head in the other direction.
There is reported interest from David Moyes in McTominay and with the Red Devils midfielder seeing his game time limited last season due to the arrivals of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, the potential swap deal could work for all parties involved.
Man United considering joining Arsenal in race for Rice
There is believed to be considerable frustration from the Hammers that Arsenal have not offered the $127m price set for Rice over a month ago, with a second bid worth a total of $115m- $95m plus $20m in add-ons spread over five years being immediately rejected out of hand by West Ham.
According to The Daily Telegraph’s Jason Burt, it is Rice’s preference still to stay in London and move to Arsenal but United’s interest is genuine and even though the Hammers have accepted that they will sell their club captain this summer, they will wait for the right offer.
