Manchester United’s pursuit of Mason Mount looks to be in the closing stages, as a deal between the clubs could be agreed over the weekend.
Chelsea are holding out for a fee of $70 million from the Red Devils, and United will make their final bid in that region over the weekend.
Mason Mount edging nearer Man United move
United have already had two bids knocked back for the England international, with the Blues claiming that they are looking for a price in the region of $90 million.
However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that $70 million will be enough to convince the Stamford Bridge club to sell the midfielder.
The Red Devils appear willing to match that asking price, and will be seeking a quick resolution. United want to make Mount their first signing of the summer, and it could be announced at the end of next week.
Personal teams between the player and Red Devils have already been agreed, meaning that United and Chelsea need to agree on a fee to wrap up the deal.
