Timber is believed to love the project set out by Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Dutch giants Ajax are expected to accept the Gunners’ second bid after turning one down worth $38m last week.
Timber’s versatility is thought to be a key factor as to why Arteta is so keen on completing a move with the young defender equally adept at playing centrally in a back three, a back four, and as a right-back.
