Rock bottom MLS side Inter Miami have completed the signature of Spanish international midfielder Sergio Busquets.
The 34-year-old will be keen to get going following Inter’s seventh MLS defeat in a row at the weekend to the hands of Philadelphia Union, leaving them four points adrift at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
Legend Busquets confirms move to States
World Cup winner Busquets is set to join his former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba in Fort Lauderdale and will wear the number five shirt for the club.
The news was announced on Saturday before The Herons’ 4-1 defeat with Club President David Beckham still in the hunt to appoint a new head coach following the sacking of Phil Neville with former Barca boss Tata Martino heavily linked with the vacant hot seat.

Busquets should slot straight into a struggling midfield, bringing a wealth of experience at the top level of European football after leading the Catalan giants to his ninth La Liga championship title last term, making 30 league appearances.
It has been reported that the Spaniard also turned down more than one offer from the Saudi Arabia Pro League to test himself in the MLS and try a new experience on the east coast of America.
