Arsenal have slapped a $45m price tag on USMNT star forward Folarin Balogun this summer after his excellent season on loan at Reims.
RB Leipzig are thought to be keen on the US international striker who scored his first goal for his national team in a 2-0 win over Canada last week but it is yet to be seen if the German side are prepared to match the Gunners’ evaluation.
Folarin Balogun could be set for Emirates Stadium exit
Balogun is also attracting the attention of Serie A rivals Inter Milan and AC Milan as well as Crystal Palace, Monaco, and Marseille.
According to The Sun’s Alan Nixon, the New York native is still behind the pecking order of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah, and with the signing of Kai Havertz set to be confirmed this week, Balogun’s opportunities of first-team football next season at the Emirates Stadium look like they will be few and far between.
Last week, Balogun confirmed he did not want to go on loan again this season following a fantastic breakout campaign with Ligue 1 side Reims, scoring 21 league goals for coach Will Still’s side.
