Manchester United have been handed a setback in their transfer plans, as long-term target Adrien Rabiot has agreed a new deal with Juventus.
The Red Devils had made the 28-year-old one of their key targets this summer, but the Frenchman looks set to accept a pay cut to remain in Turin.
Adrien Rabiot set to stay at Juventus
There was a belief that the midfielder would leave Juventus this summer after the club failed to achieve Champions League qualification. United were hopeful of completing the deal after coming close to signing the 28-year-old last summer.
However, United’s chase looks set to come up short, according to Corriere dello Sport, as the latest reports from Italy have claimed that Rabiot has agreed to extend his stay in Turin.
The Frenchman made 32 appearances in Serie A last term, scoring eight goals and registering four assists as the Old Lady finished the season in seventh.
