Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario on a five-year contract.
The deal is subject to international clearance and Vicario earning a work permit. The Italian will wear the number 13 shirt next season and is the current favorite to be Tottenham’s first-choice candidate with Hugo Lloris set to leave the club and a move for Brentford’s David Raya seemingly stalling.

Following an impressive two-year spell for Tuscan-based Empoli, Vicario has joined the Lilywhites for a deal believed to reach just over the $20m mark.
Speaking about his move to the club’s in-house media team, Vicario said, “I started my career from the bottom. My dream, to be at the top, it was so difficult. I had to do all the levels.”
