Manchester United look set to move onto fresh summer targets over the coming days after reaching an impasse with Chelsea over a move for Mason Mount.
The Red Devils are reportedly set to formalize their interest in Brighton & Hove Albion star Moises Caicedo, with Sky Sports claiming that an official bid could be made over the weekend.
Man United open talks for Moises Caicedo
United have been left frustrated in their pursuit of Mount, and are reportedly assessing a number of other options. Caicedo had been among Chelsea’s top summer targets, with the midfielder reportedly keen on the move to Stamford Bridge.
The reports from Sky Sports have claimed that the Red Devils have still made Mount their priority signing, but Erik ten Hag is a big fan of the Brighton midfielder.
The move from United for Caicedo could also accelerate talks with the Blues, as they won’t want to miss out on signing their top target.
