Manchester United target Kim Min-Jae is set to join Bayern Munich after opting against a summer move to Old Trafford.
The South Korean international has spent the beginning of his summer on mandatory military service back in his homeland and, now completed, is set to have his transfer confirmed by the Bavarians in the next day or two.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Kim has reached a verbal agreement regarding personal terms with the German champions, who have offered a five-year contract to the central defender.

Sources close to the club confirm that the 26-year-old has chosen Bayern Munich and a move to Germany over a move to Manchester United with the Serie A winner expecting to become an immediate starter ahead of struggling center-back Dayot Upamecano at the Allianz Arena.
The final stage to complete the deal is for the Bavarians to pay Kim’s release clause which is thought to be approximately $55m.
