Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of England international James Maddison from Leicester City.
The 26-year-old becomes Spurs’ second summer signing following the arrival of Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and will cost the club approximately $50m.

Leicester City attacking midfielder Maddison moves to Spurs
Maddison had been linked with a summer switch to Premier League rivals Newcastle United but the attacking midfielder is believed to have preferred moving with his family to London.
The deal is thought to be a good bit of business by Tottenham, whose transfer dealings of recent years have been questionable at best.
The Foxes were thought to be holding out for a figure closer to $75m but were placed in a weakened position due to the club’s relegation with new manager Enzo Maresca desperately needing the funds quickly to improve a light-looking squad that will aim to come straight back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Maddison has signed a five-year deal and will earn around $215,000 per week.
