PSG set to confirm the appointment of Luis Enrique
Enrique was highly successful as manager of Spanish giants Barcelona during his three-year spell there, guiding the Catalans to two La Liga championships and a Champions League final success back in 2015.
At Barca, Enrique led a deadly spearhead attack of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez and PSG sporting director Luis Campos will hope he will be able to get the same attacking flare and productivity from the injury-prone Neymar, who played the best club football of his career under the Spaniard at the Nou Camp.
Despite an announcement on Enrique’s appointment being expected imminently, PSG have yet to fire current boss Christophe Galtier, who this morning has been taken into police custody over allegations of discrimination during his time as Nice manager according to French television channel RMC Sport.
