Liverpool have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig for $76m.
The 22-year-old moved to Anfield after Jurgen Klopp’s men triggered the release clause in the Hungarian captain’s contract at the Red Bull-owned club, becoming the club’s second summer signing.

Szoboszlai follows in the footsteps of Alexis Mac Allister as the Reds look to strengthen their midfield, a problem position for them in recent years.
The club officially announced the news yesterday after it was reported the Hungarian wanted to push through a move following speculation the Reds were interested in him last week.

Szoboszlai becomes the club’s third most expensive signing in the club’s history after Virgil Van Dijk’s arrival from Southampton in 2018 and Darwin Nunez’s signing from Benfica last summer.
The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a winger, also becomes the third Hungarian to play for the Reds after Istvan Kozma and Adam Bogdan and will wear the number eight shirt next season.
