Premier League side West Ham have joined Aston Villa in the race to sign USMNT captain Tyler Adams from Leeds United.
The East Londoners are set to receive an eye-watering $132m for the sale of Declan Rice to Arsenal and want to fill the large gap the loss of their club captain will leave.
USMNT captain Tyler Adams wanted by Hammers
As written by Mark Carruthers in the Yorkshire Evening Post, West Ham have turned their attention towards the USMNT captain after considering Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria, who spent last season on-loan at London rivals Chelsea, and Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse.
It was reported last week that Adams had interest shown in him by Unai Emery’s Aston Villa, who will be playing in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season with the 24-year-old looking destined to return to the Premier League with a new side next season.
