Colorado Rapids have agreed a deal in principle to sign Atlanta United left-back Andrew Gutman when the MLS transfer window opens tomorrow.
The attack-minded Gutman, 26, scored seven goals and provided five assists from defense in 46 appearances for Atlanta since his move from Scottish giants Celtic and has also appeared for FC Cincinnati and New York Red Bulls on separate loan spells.
MLS set for a busy summer transfer window
Gutman’s move to the Eastern Conference’s bottom side will create funds for Atlanta to complete a deal to sign midfielder Tristan Muyumba from French second-division side EA Guingamp according to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert.
Also on the move tomorrow will be Colombian international striker Cristian Arango who will swap Mexican side Pachuca for Western Conference outfit Real Salt Lake and veteran Canadian international Scott Arfield who will officially be announced as a Charlotte FC player tomorrow after he left Scottish giants Rangers following the expiration of his contract in May.
