Paris Saint-Germain are pushing to beat Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea in the race to sign Celta Vigo attacking midfielder Gabri Veiga.
Veiga is preparing to play in tonight’s UEFA European Under-21 Championship Semi-Final for Spain against Ukraine and is believed to be holding off making a decision on his future until the conclusion of the tournament.
Gabri Veiga set to leave Spain this summer
As reported last week, Premier League champions Man City have targetted Veiga- who can play as a number six or as a number eight- after dropping out of the race for Arsenal-bound midfielder Declan Rice.
However, according to the Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are looking to strengthen their midfield this summer and are intensifying their efforts to sign Veiga who is available at just $43.5m this summer.
Luis Enrique’s new side is yet to trigger Veiga’s release clause, however, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and potential new suitors still yet to enter the race.
