Chelsea are progressing with talks ahead of a big-money summer transfer for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The 21-year-old Ecuadorean midfielder was one of the Premier League’s great breakthrough players last season and is already thought to have agreed to a summer move to Stamford Bridge.
Moises Caicedo says yes to Chelsea
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, talks remain ongoing between the two Premier League clubs with a deal expected to be reached eventually but not soon.
Caicedo is currently enjoying his summer break in the United States following the conclusion of a terrific season personally and is likely to cost Todd Boehly’s Blues a figure of more than $100m.
At just 21, Caicedo is seen as the future of Chelsea and is likely to form a midfield partnership alongside fellow big-money transfer Enzo Fernandez next season following the departures of Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, and Mason Mount to Manchester United earlier today.
