Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is on his way to London to complete his transfer to Arsenal from Ajax after the two clubs agreed a fee.
The 22-year-old center-back has been long rumored with a move to the Emirates Stadium and according to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, the Gunners are set to spend $43.5 plus $5.5m in largely realistic bonuses on Timber this week.

The center-back, who can also play as a right-back, has already appeared 15 times for the Netherlands and made 34 appearances for Dutch giants Ajax in what turned out to be a disappointing campaign.
Timber will now head to London to undergo a medical and finalize personal terms with the Gunners after being shortlisted as a key target by Mikel Arteta to help his side push Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City all the way next season following the signing of Kai Havertz and the imminent arrival of West Ham captain Declan Rice.
