Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat after talks between the Italian club and Atletico Madrid have broken down.
Atletico had been hopeful of completing a deal, but negotiations surrounding a fee have reached an impasse, according to 90Min.
Man United encouraged to make move for Sofyan Amrabat
The Red Devils have been long-term admirers of the Morocco star, and even made a move for the central midfielder in the winter transfer window.
Fiorentina are looking for a fee in the region of $35 million, but any move from United will likely hinge on the club receiving offers for Scott McTominay and Fred.
Liverpool are also keeping tabs on the midfielder, as they look to rebuild that area of the field. However, Atletico remain confident that they can finalize a deal.
Amrabat played a pivotal role for club and country last season, as he helped Morocco reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, before guiding Fiorentina to the final of the Europa Conference League.
