Despite speculation linking Pepi with a move to Lazio earlier this summer, Pepi had his heart set on staying in Holland. Despite the club’s relegation last season, the American was a shining light for Groningen scoring 12 goals and providing three assists for a side that finished rock bottom of the league.
“I am incredibly happy and excited to be here,” said Pepi, who will join up with his new teammates for the first time when pre-season training starts on Monday.
“I believe this is the right step for my career. PSV is a club with great ambitions, and I share the same desire to win trophies” the USMNT star added.

Pepi’s impressive record of seven goals in 15 matches has made him a key part of interim coach B.J Callaghan’s set-up and the young forward will wear the number 14 shirt for the Red and Whites next season.
