Chelsea have completed the signing of 18-year-old Brazilian forward Angelo Gabriel from Santos.
The documents between the two clubs have now been completed and signed according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano and will see the Brazilian wonderkid move to Stamford Bridge for $19m.
Angelo Gabriel set for Chelsea switch
The wide forward, who has been likened to fellow Santos youth academy graduate Neymar, will be in London tomorrow to complete the second part of his medical before the Blues’ third signing of the summer heads to the United States with the rest of the squad ahead of their pre-season tour.
It is possible that Angelo is loaned out by Maurico Pochettino in order to gain some first-team experience this season following the signings of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, who look to tailor-made to begin the Premier League next season.
At 18, Angelo has already made almost 100 appearances in his professional career so far but has yet to play in Europe and will likely have to develop physically before he is trusted by new Blues boss Pochettino whose robust approach at Tottenham was so successful for five years.
