Inter Milan are preparing to make a fresh bid to sign Romelu Lukaku on a permanent transfer from Chelsea.
According to The Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law, the 30-year-old center forward will be the subject of a $32m plus $12m in add-ons offer by the Champions League finalists after spending last year on loan at San Siro.
Romelu Lukaku set to return to Chelsea
It has been revealed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Lukaku will return to pre-season training at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground late with the Belgian not expected to return from his holidays until next Monday.
It is yet unknown whether Lukaku will play for the Blues again and if he will travel with the squad to the United States for their pre-season tour this month. The club will speak to the former Everton and Manchester United player in the coming days with Lukaku expected to request a transfer back to Inter Milan where he has scored a prolific tally of 78 goals during two separate spells.
