All time great Lionel Messi could be presented as an Inter Miami player this Sunday during half time of the Gold Cup final.

MLS are currently in discussions with CONCACAF and television stations FOX and Univision to air a portion of the presentation after The Herons announced an event called The Unveil will begin at 8pm ET on Sunday.

The 36-year-old is expected to arrive in the United States on Tuesday before an official announcement is made by the club this week according to The Athletic’s Paul Tenorio and Felipe Cardenas.

On Wednesday, the USMNT face Panama whilst Mexico take on Jamaica in the Gold Cup semi-finals with the final set up on Sunday.

Messi is currently holidaying in the Bahamas with his family and is widely expected to make his debut for Inter Miami in their Leagues Cup opener, a new competition between the MLS and the Mexican League, Liga MX, on July 21 against Cruz Azul after confirmation of his transfer came last month.
