Manchester City are close to signing young Manchester United central defender Harrison Parker this summer.
The 16-year-old joined the United youth academy in 2021 from Arsenal and remains highly-rated by the Red Devils’ Director of Academy Nick Cox who is said to want to keep one of the club’s most impressive starlets.
Harrison Parker set to sign for rivals Man City
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, United’s bitter rivals City are close to reaching an agreement with Parker, who played two years above his age range for the Red Devils’ under 18’s team.
The Cityzens have reportedly fought off four top clubs for the signature of Parker despite United offering the teenager the highest amount to keep him at the club’s Carrington academy beyond the summer.
City will likely have to pay a compensation fee for the defender who has also represented England at under 16 level.
