Chelsea are hoping to find a buyer to facilitate the transfer of veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
The 34-year-old hitman is expected to return to pre-season training at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground on Monday alongside fellow wantaway strikers Hakim Ziyech and Romelu Lukaku.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang set to be sold by the Blues
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues want to make a quick sale for Aubameyang with the Gabonese forward’s high wages currently proving a sticking point for clubs based in Europe.

As reported by Soccer Times earlier this summer, Aubameyang’s preference would be to return to Barcelona but interest from the Catalan giants has cooled with Xavi Hernandez’s men turning their attention to other priorities in an attempt to cooperate within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Regulations.
The cash-strapped La Liga side have already snapped up Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez this summer and after they complete the imminent transfer of young Brazilian forward Vitor Roque, Barca president Joan Laporta told Mundo Deportivo last night, “We need to sign one right back and two midfielders to complete the team as Xavi asked.”
