Inter Milan are due to enter talks with Chelsea after submitting a second bid worth $33.5m for Belgium international Romelu Lukaku.
The 30-year-old hitman found his form during the final part of last season- scoring seven goals in Inter’s last eight Serie A matches and according to Fabrizio Romano, the Nerazzuri hope to clinch a deal as soon as possible to avoid the possibility of another club hijacking the move.

Romelu Lukaku set for third stint at Inter Milan?
Inter manager Simeone Inzaghi did not hide his admiration of the Belgian forward, saying in an interview yesterday: “Lukaku is a Chelsea player now. We all know how crucial he has been for us”.
Lukaku’s former striker partner Edin Dzeko left San Siro for Turkish side Fenerbahce this summer leaving Inter’s already thin squad down to just 20 senior players.
However, head coach Inzaghi was confident when asked about Lukaku’s potential return to the Nerazzuri next season, adding, “I did my best to bring him back last summer, we’d like to re-sign Romelu also this summer. We’ll do our best to make it happen.”
