George Bello swaps Germany for Austria
Bello has decided to stay in Europe after rejecting advances from MLS side Real Salt Lake and the 21-year-old is set to begin a fresh chapter in his career after suffering back-to-back relegations with Arminia Bielefeld.
Despite his youth, Bello brings a wealth of experience with him to Austria after making over 100 club appearances in his career so far. The left-back made his name in the MLS at Atlanta United, where he made 59 appearances and scored three times during a three year spell before moving to Germany.
Speaking of his move to the Austrian Bundesliga, the eight-time capped USMNT defender stated, “LASK has made a great effort to sign me, and from the beginning, I felt that something big is being created here. The playing philosophy presented to me fits very well with my strengths, and I want to contribute to our national and international success together.”
