Liverpool have identified Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure as a potential replacement for Fabinho if the Brazilian midfielder leaves the club this summer.
According to The Athletic, the 23-year-old impressed Jurgen Klopp in his first season at Selhurst Park following his move from Lens last summer worth $33.6m plus add-ons.

The Eagles are reportedly using Southampton’s $64.5m evaluation of defensive midfielder Romeo Lavia as guidance for Doucoure’s pricetag after the Malian was named the club’s fan’s player of the year last season.
Liverpool may be forced back into the market to sign a third midfielder this summer after completing moves for Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister if Brazilian midfielder Fabinho and club captain Jordan Henderson decide to depart Anfield this summer.
Fabinho has been left out of Jurgen Klopp’s squad for their pre-season tour of Germany in order for the 29-year-old to discuss a transfer with Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad after a $51.6m offer was submitted.
